Homeless Experience Legal Protection (H.E.L.P.) enlists local attorneys, law students, and law firm secretaries and paralegals in cities across the country to provide pro bono legal assistance to homeless individuals. Project H.E.L.P. is an organization founded in New Orleans in 2004 that is helping to serve their city's homeless population with a wide variety of legal issues, from employment law to income tax to estate matters. Over the years, Project H.E.L.P. has expanded to 15 different cities and counting. For more information, visit the Project H.E.L.P. website at http://www.homelesslegalprotection.com.  What are some of the legal needs that you have seen in your homeless population? Discuss them in the street medicine forum. You can also visit our homeless resources page.
